Summary

Create a new item on a specified Monday board or update an existing item by identifying it via a specified column's value. Configure details such as item name, group, subitem status, parent item if applicable, and column values.

Inputs

• Board (required) — Select the Monday board where the item will be created or updated.
• Is Subitem? — Indicate whether the item is a subitem.
• Identifier Column — Select the column used to find and update an existing item by a matching identifier value.
• Identifier Value — The value in the identifier column to locate the item to update; if empty, a new item is created.
• Item Name — The name to assign to the new or updated item.
• Group Name — Select the group on the board where the item will be created (only if not a subitem).
• Parent Item — If creating a subitem, specify the parent item's ID.
• Column Values — List of column-value pairs to set on the item, supporting various column types (simple, object, button, checkbox, board relation, date, email, file link, link, location, people, phone, timeline).

Output shape

a single updated or newly created item object

If 'Identifier Value' is provided and a matching item is found, that item is updated; otherwise, a new item is created. Supports setting metadata via multiple column types. Subitems are supported by marking 'Is Subitem?' and specifying 'Parent Item'. Returned data includes the item details post creation or update.
