Waits for a transaction to achieve the requested number of confirmations.

Inputs

• transactionHash (required) — The hash of the transaction to wait for.
• confirmations — Desired number of confirmations to wait for (default is 1).

Output shape

a single transaction receipt object

Resolves when the transaction receipt is available; includes receipt details such as block number and confirmations.

Examples

Example 1: Wait for a single confirmation on a transfer

transactionHash = "0xabc...", confirmations = 1

Example 2: Wait for 6 confirmations on a contract call

transactionHash = "0xdef...", confirmations = 6

Example 3: Use default confirmation count

transactionHash = "0xghi..." (confirmations omitted, defaults to 1)
