Summary

Download one or more types of files (thumbnail, preview, original) for a specified asset from a WoodWing Assets Server, authenticating either by login or by using an existing token.

Inputs

• Authentication Method (required) — Choose how to authenticate: either automatically login and then download, or use a token from a previous login.
• Auth Token (required) — When using 'Use Token From Previous Login' authentication method, provide the authentication token obtained from a prior login.
• Asset ID (required) — The unique WoodWing Assets Server ID of the asset to download files for.
• Files to Download (required) — Select one or multiple file types to download from the asset: thumbnail, preview, and/or original.
• Search Options — Optional flags to log the download search for analytics, specify which metadata fields to return with the download, and whether to include text snippets with highlighted search terms.
• Filename Options — Options to customize output filenames, including using the asset ID as filename instead of the original and specifying suffixes for thumbnail, preview, and original filenames.
• Debug to Console — Enable detailed debug logging to the n8n console; authentication tokens are redacted in logs.
• Pass Through Binary Data — Optionally pass through any binary data from input to output, useful when chaining operations that manage file data.

Output shape

Each output contains a single JSON object with metadata fields and a binary object with the downloaded files keyed by type (thumbnail, preview, original).

The output includes an array of downloaded file types under 'downloadedFiles', the asset ID, and any returned metadata fields. Binary data properties contain the file data for each requested file type. Errors during download cause the node to fail unless continue on fail is enabled.
