AI-generatedSummary
Composes multiple screenshots into a single image via the Allscreenshots API, either from several URLs or from one URL captured in multiple viewport/device variants, and returns either a job record (async) or the composed image as binary (sync).
Inputs
- Source (composeMode) — 'Multiple URLs' (default) or 'Single URL Variants'.
- URLs (required) — Multiple URLs mode: one URL per line, max 20. Each is sent as a capture with id capture_1, capture_2, etc.
- URL (required) — Variants mode: the single URL captured across all variants.
- Variants — Variants mode: up to 20 entries, each with label, device preset, width/height, full page, dark mode, delay, and custom CSS. Width and height of 0 are ignored, as is a delay of 0.
- Layout — auto (default), grid, horizontal, vertical, masonry, mondrian, or partitioning. Sent uppercased.
- Async Mode — Default true. When on, the node returns the job response. When off, it waits and returns the image as binary. Recommended on for more than 2-3 URLs.
- Put Output in Field — Sync mode only: binary field name for the composed image (default 'data').
- Compose Options — Output format (png/jpeg/webp), quality, columns, spacing, padding, background color or 'transparent', alignment, max width/height, thumbnail width, and show labels.
- Device Preset / Viewport / Full Page / Dark Mode / Block Cookie Banners — Default capture settings applied to every capture. The custom viewport is ignored if a device preset is selected.
- Wait Options — Delay, wait-for selector, wait-until event, and timeout, applied to every capture.
- Page Modifications — Custom CSS to inject and comma-separated selectors to hide.
- Blocking Options — Block ads toggle and block level (none to ultimate).
- Advanced Options — Stealth mode.
- Page Actions — Up to 25 ordered steps run before capture: click, type, press key, hover, select, scroll, wait. Each step can be optional and can have its own timeout.
- Webhook Options — Async mode only: webhook URL to notify on completion and a secret for HMAC-signing the payload.
Output shape
Async mode: one JSON item with the API's compose job response (a job to look up with Compose > Get Status). Sync mode: one item with JSON {success: true, format} and the composed image in a binary field (default 'data').
The source doesn't show the exact fields of the async response. The sync file extension and MIME type come from the response Content-Type, falling back to PNG. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors become an item with {error: message}. Capture settings in the main fields are sent as 'defaults' for every capture.
Examples
Example 1: Build a single overview image of a site's key pages
Source: Multiple URLs; URLs: home, /about, /contact on separate lines; Layout: Grid; Async Mode on; Compose Options: Columns 3, Spacing 20, Format PNG.
Example 2: Show a responsive preview of one page across devices
Source: Single URL Variants; URL: https://example.com; Variants: Desktop HD, iPad, iPhone 15, each with a label; Layout: Horizontal; Async Mode off; Put Output in Field: data.
Example 3: Notify another service when a large compose finishes
Multiple URLs (10+), Async Mode on, Webhook Options with Webhook URL and Webhook Secret; later use Get Status with the returned job ID.
