Screenshot → Capture

AI-generated

Summary

Captures a screenshot (or PDF) of a webpage synchronously via the Allscreenshots API (POST /v1/screenshots) and returns it as a binary file, base64 JSON, or a hosted URL. Runs once per input item.

Inputs

  • url (required) — Webpage URL to capture.
  • responseType — Binary File (default), Base64 (JSON), or URL (JSON). Non-binary values are sent to the API as responseType.
  • binaryPropertyName — Binary field name for the output when response type is Binary (default 'data').
  • device — Device preset (desktop, laptop, iPhone, iPad, Pixel, Galaxy, social-card sizes, etc.). Overrides the custom viewport.
  • fullPage — Capture the whole scrollable page instead of just the viewport.
  • darkMode — Emulate prefers-color-scheme: dark.
  • blockCookieBanners — Auto dismiss/block cookie banners (default true).
  • viewportOptions — Custom width, height (100-4096) and device scale factor (1-3). Ignored if a device preset is set.
  • outputOptions — Format (PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF), quality (JPEG/WebP), and a CSS element selector to capture just one element.
  • waitOptions — Delay (ms), wait-for selector, wait-until event (domcontentloaded/load/networkidle), and timeout (1000-60000 ms).
  • pageModifications — Custom CSS to inject and comma-separated selectors to hide.
  • blockingOptions — Block ads toggle and Hagezi block level (none to ultimate).
  • advancedOptions — Stealth mode, full-page mode (stitch/native), freeze fixed elements, scroll interval, max height, max sections.
  • actions — Ordered page interactions before capture (click, type, press key, hover, select, scroll, wait), each with optional and per-action timeout settings.
  • outputs — Multiple outputs per capture (screenshot, PDF, HTML, Markdown, JSON extraction with a schema). Invalid schema JSON throws an error. The field itself notes it works best with async operations.
  • session — Cookies (name, value, domain, path, sameSite, httpOnly, secure, expires) set before loading, for authenticated pages.

Output shape

One item per input item. Binary mode: JSON {success, url, format} plus the file in the chosen binary field. Base64 or URL mode: the API's JSON response as-is.

In binary mode the file extension and MIME type come from the response Content-Type (PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF, and others). With Continue On Fail enabled, failed items return {error: message}. Requires Allscreenshots API credentials.
