Summary

Create or overwrite a SmartProof signal-type toast template, scoped either globally or to one client. Set the type key and any template fields to define the icon, text, links, accent, and bulk-toast wording used for signals of that type.

Inputs

• Client — Optional client scope, selected from the list or entered as a SmartProof client ID (cl_…) or external ref. Leave empty to create the global template inherited by clients.
• Type (required) — Signal type key the template styles, such as quote, purchase, or booking.
• Template Fields — Optional template settings: Accent colour; Icon as an emoji or image URL; Title and Text, which support tokens; CTA Label and CTA Link; Card Link; and Bulk Title and Bulk Text for grouped events, which support {count}. Links must be HTTP(S) URLs.

Output shape

A single JSON item containing the SmartProof API response for the created or overwritten signal-type template.

The operation sends a POST request to /signal-types. When a client is selected, its ID is included in the request; otherwise the template is global. Empty template fields are passed through from the collection as supplied.

Examples

Example 1: Create a global template for quote signals

Set Type to quote; optionally set an icon, title, text, accent, or links; leave Client empty.

Example 2: Set a client-specific purchase template

Choose a Client, set Type to purchase, then provide the desired Template Fields to override that client's styling.
