Summary

Create or ingest an ephemeral social-proof signal for a SmartProof client, optionally scoped to a location. Reposting with the same Client and External Ref updates the existing signal; set either Type or Title, and SmartProof uses a configured type template when one applies.

Inputs

• Client (required) — Select a client or enter its SmartProof ID or external ref. If Location is set, the location’s client is used.
• Location — Optionally scope the signal to a location by selecting it or entering its ID or external ref.
• Type — Signal type, such as purchase, quote, booking, or job; selects a configured toast template and icon. Type or Title must be set.
• Title — Free-text toast message. Type or Title must be set; a configured template for the selected Type supplies the displayed text instead.
• First Name — First name shown in the toast.
• City — City shown in the toast.
• External Ref — Your event ID. Reposting with the same client and external ref updates the signal instead of creating a duplicate.
• Additional Fields — Optional signal details: Amount, Country, Expires At, Image URL, Last Name, Link, Occurred At, Product Name, and Region. Last Name is reduced to an initial; URLs must use HTTP(S). Occurred At defaults to now if omitted.

Output shape

A single signal record returned by the SmartProof API for each input item.

Email, phone, and unrecognized fields are dropped and not stored. The operation sends one POST to SmartProof per input item.
