Summary

Update multiple contacts simultaneously by providing a JSON array where each object contains a contact's UUID and the fields to update.

Inputs

• Contacts Data (JSON Array) (required) — A JSON array string with objects specifying the contact_id and fields to update for each contact. Example: [{"contact_id":"uuid","name":"New Name","tags":["vip"]}]

Output shape

a single JSON response body from the Cortex API reflecting the bulk update results, returned as an array of items.

The output is the response from the Cortex API bulk update endpoint, wrapped in the standard n8n JSON array format. Errors throw exceptions unless 'Continue On Fail' is enabled, in which case they yield an error JSON object.

Examples

Example 1: Bulk update contacts' names and tags

Pass a JSON array string with contact_id and the fields you want to update, such as name and tags, to the 'Contacts Data (JSON Array)' parameter. The node sends a PUT request to Cortex's /integrations/contacts/bulk endpoint to apply all updates in one call.
