Summary

Update a selected variable's fields such as category, name, and type.

Inputs

• variableId (required) — Selecione a variável da lista. Para usar um ID dinâmico, clique em "Expression".
• updateFields — Coleção de campos a atualizar na variável (ex.: category, name, type).

Output shape

updated variable object returned by the SendFlow API

The operation returns the full variable record as updated; errors are propagated as exceptions.

Examples

Example 1: Rename a variable and change its type

Set Variable = 'campaignBudget', then add Name = 'budget_2025' and Type = 'text' in Update Fields.

Example 2: Change variable category only

Select Variable = 'activeCampaign', then set Category = 'system' in Update Fields.

Example 3: Update variable name without changing other properties

Select Variable = 'welcomeMessage', then set Name = 'initial_greeting' in Update Fields.
