Summary

Create a new issue draft in YouTrack under a specified project with a summary and optional description.

Inputs

• Project (required) — The project database ID (e.g., '0-0') where the issue draft will be created. Must be a database ID format; use the Get Projects operation to find the ID if you only have the short name.
• Summary (required) — The title or summary for the issue draft.
• Description — An optional detailed description of the issue draft.
• Fields — Comma-separated list of fields to return in the API response; defaults to 'id,idReadable,summary'. If not specified, only entityID is returned.

Output shape

a single record representing the created issue draft, including fields specified in the input or defaulting to 'id,idReadable,summary'

The response includes the specified fields. If fields are not specified, only entityID is returned.

Examples

Example 1: Create an issue draft in project '0-0' with summary and description

Provide 'project' as '0-0', set 'summary' to the draft title, optionally add 'description', and specify 'fields' if more details are needed in output.
