Summary

Create a new issue in a specified project on YouTrack with a mandatory project identifier and issue summary, optionally including a description and specifying which fields to return in the response.

Inputs

• Project (required) — The short name (e.g., 'SP', 'BUG') or database ID (e.g., '0-0') of the project where the issue will be created.
• Summary (required) — The title or summary of the new issue.
• Additional Options — Optional parameters including a multi-line Description of the issue and a comma-separated list of Fields to return in the API response.

Output shape

a single issue record representing the newly created issue, including returned fields as specified by the 'Fields' input parameter (defaulting to 'id,idReadable,summary').

The 'Fields' parameter specifies which issue fields are included in the response. If not set, only the entity ID is returned. The issue is created by sending a POST request to '/admin/projects/{project}/issues' endpoint with the specified data.
