Summary

Create an approval request for a form using read-only context data for the approver. Optionally set a callback URL, expiration time, callback metadata, and an email address to notify when the approval is answered.

Inputs

• Form ID (required) — ID of the form to create the approval for.
• Context Data (required) — JSON data shown to the approver as read-only context.
• Callback URL — Optional callback URL; when omitted, FormNode uses the form automation webhook.
• Expires At — Expiration time for the approval request.
• Metadata — JSON metadata included in the callback payload.
• Notify Email — Email address to notify when the approval is answered.

Output shape

A single record containing the API response for each input item.

The node sends a POST request to the form's approvals endpoint and returns the response as the item's JSON. Context Data and Metadata must contain valid JSON; invalid JSON raises an error.
