Summary

Updates a tracked brand's metadata (name, aliases, domains, or regex) and triggers metric recalculation if the name changes.

Inputs

  • projectId (required) — The Peec project to operate on.
  • brandId (required) — The brand to update. Select from the list or provide the ID (kw_xxxxx...).
  • additionalFields.name — New tracked name. Renaming triggers a full metric recalculation across history.
  • additionalFields.aliases — Comma-separated alternate spellings, abbreviations, or partial names.
  • additionalFields.domains — Comma-separated domains used for source classification (OWN / COMPETITOR).
  • additionalFields.regex — Case-sensitive PCRE-style regex for advanced matching. An empty string clears the regex.

Output shape

A list of items (one per input item), each containing the updated brand data.

If the name is changed, the operation triggers a full metric recalculation across history.

Examples

Example 1: Rename a brand to a shorter, unique form

Select the brand from the list, set Name to the new value (e.g., 'BMW'), and keep other fields empty.

Example 2: Add aliases to improve detection

Select the brand, leave Name blank, and set Aliases to 'Bimmer, Bavarian Motor Works'.

Example 3: Update classification domains

Select the brand, leave Name and Aliases blank, and set Domains to 'bmw.com, bmw.de'.
