Summary

Updates an existing tag's name or color within a project.

Inputs

• projectId (required) — Project ID or selector to identify the project containing the tag.
• tagId (required) — Tag ID or selector to identify the tag to update.
• updateFields — A collection of fields to update. 'color' sets the visual display color; 'name' renames the tag. Must be unique per project. Empty fields are ignored.

Output shape

A single record representing the updated tag, including the new values.

The node sends a single item with the updated tag data. The operation is non-idempotent; re-running on a deleted ID returns a 'not found' error.

Examples

Example 1: Rename a tag from 'Research' to 'Studies' and change its color to blue.

Tag ID: tg_123..., Update Fields: Name='Studies', Color='blue'

Example 2: Change the color of an existing tag without renaming it.

Tag ID: tg_456..., Update Fields: Color='amber'
