Summary

Create a new insurance policy in AgencyZoom associated with a specific customer by providing required details like carrier, policy type, agent, lead source, location, premium, dates, and other policy specifics.

Inputs

• Customer ID (required) — Numeric ID of the customer to whom the policy belongs.
• Carrier Name or ID (required) — Select the insurance carrier from a list or specify an ID.
• Policy Type Name or ID (required) — Select the type of policy or product line from a list or specify an ID.
• Agent Name or ID (required) — Select the agent associated with the policy from a list or specify an ID.
• Lead Source Name or ID (required) — Select the lead source from a list or specify an ID.
• Location Name or ID (required) — Select the agency location number from a list or specify an ID.
• Premium (Cents) (required) — Total premium amount expressed in cents (e.g. 15000 = $150.00).
• Items (required) — Number of items included on the policy.
• Sold Date (required) — Date when the policy was sold, formatted as MM/dd/YYYY.
• Effective Date (required) — Date when the policy coverage begins, formatted as MM/dd/YYYY.
• Expiry Date (required) — Date when the policy coverage ends, formatted as MM/dd/YYYY.
• Additional Fields — Optional fields including broker fee, CSR, insured name, policy number, prior carrier information, prior expiry date, prior policy number, and tags which can be provided to enrich the policy data.

Output shape

A single policy object representing the newly created policy with its details as returned from AgencyZoom.

The response includes all relevant fields of the created policy. Errors will be thrown if required fields are missing or invalid. Dates must be formatted as MM/dd/YYYY. Monetary amounts are specified in cents.
