Summary

Connects to the configured IMAP mailbox, filters messages, and extracts an authentication code from matching email content. Publish the request through MQTT with the required topic and remote port; optionally wait for the response before the workflow continues.

Inputs

• Topic (required) — MQTT topic used to publish the request.
• Remote Port (required) — Client session port used to route the request.
• Email (required) — Email address used to access or filter the mailbox.
• Password (required) — Mailbox password.
• Mail Server — IMAP server; defaults to imap.gmail.com.
• Email Sent To Contains — Optional text to match in the recipient field when filtering messages.
• Code Type — Code character type: number (default) or alphanumeric.
• Code Length — Expected code length; defaults to 6.
• Code Element XPath — Optional XPath for the element containing the code.
• Code Element Attribute — Value to extract from the XPath-matched element; defaults to text.
• Folder — Mailbox folder to read; defaults to INBOX.
• Unread Only — Whether to restrict the search to unread messages; defaults to true.
• Max Mails — Maximum number of messages to inspect; defaults to 30.
• Max Age Minutes — Optional age limit for messages.
• QoS — MQTT delivery quality; defaults to QoS 1.
• Include Input Items — Whether to include selected fields from incoming items in the request.
• Include Input Items Fields — Comma-separated field paths to include when Include Input Items is enabled.
• Wait For Response — Wait for an MQTT response before returning; defaults to false.
• Response Timeout (sec) — Maximum response wait time when waiting is enabled; defaults to 60 seconds.
• Delay Next Step (ms) — Delay before continuing after publishing, or after receiving the response when waiting is enabled.
• Debug — Enable more detailed logging; defaults to false.
• Debug Prefix — Prefix used for debug logging; defaults to [MAIL].

Output shape

A single MQTT response item when waiting for a response; otherwise the operation publishes the request and proceeds without waiting for a response body.

The source pack shows the MQTT request/response wrapper but not the email action implementation, so the exact response fields and behavior when no matching code is found are not visible here. The code can be extracted using the configured type and length or from an XPath-selected element and attribute.
