Image Generation → Generate
AI-generatedSummary
Generate one or more images from a text prompt using a specified Chutes.ai image generation chute.
Inputs
- Chute URL — Select a specific chute from the dropdown of available image generation chutes or provide a custom chute URL to specify which model to use for generation.
- Prompt (required) — Provide the text description that describes the desired image to generate.
- Size — Choose the dimensions of the output image (e.g., 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, or other supported sizes).
- Number of Images — Specify how many images to generate. The node makes multiple sequential requests if more than one image is requested, returning each as a separate item.
- Additional Options — Configure optional parameters controlling the image generation, including quality (standard or HD), style (natural or vivid), seed (for reproducible results), negative prompts (elements to avoid in the image), guidance scale (strictness in prompt adherence), response format (URL or base64-encoded image), and maximum generation timeout in seconds.
Output shape
a list of items each containing one generated image's data or URL
If multiple images are requested, the node makes sequential API calls and returns each image as a separate item. Images can be returned as binary data or URLs depending on the selected response format. If a timeout is specified and exceeded during generation, the node will error and can trigger n8n's retry logic.
Examples
Example 1: Generate a single 1024x1024 HD natural style image representing a mountain landscape at sunset, using the default chute.
Set Prompt to 'A beautiful landscape with mountains and a lake at sunset', Size to '1024x1024', Quality to 'HD', Style to 'Natural', Number of Images to 1, and leave other options as defaults.
