Summary

Create a new document in Dart.

Inputs

• item (required) — JSON payload representing the document to create (e.g., title, content, folder).
• requestOptions — Optional request configuration such as batching, SSL skipping, proxy, and timeout.

Output shape

a single created document object

Returns the newly created doc including its generated ID; errors are passed through as n8n error handling.

Examples

Example 1: Add a simple document with title and content

Set Item to {"title":"Project Plan","content":"Outline phases"} and leave requestOptions empty.

Example 2: Create a document in a specific folder with batching

Item: {"title":"Meeting Notes","folder":"Tech"}; requestOptions: {"batch":{"batchSize":100}}

Example 3: Create a doc via insecure SSL connection using a proxy

Item: {"title":"Secure Note"}; requestOptions: {"allowUnauthorizedCerts":true,"proxy":"http://user:pass@proxy.example.com:8080"}
