Retrieve a detailed overview of referring domains that link to a specified domain, subdomain, or URL, including various filtering, sorting, and backlink status options.

Inputs

• Target (Domain, Subdomain, URL) (required) — Domain, subdomain, or webpage URL to get referring domain data for. Specify domain/subdomain without https:// and www., or full page URL including protocol.
• Limit (up to 1000) — Maximum number of referring domain results to return (default 50, max 1000).
• Offset — Number of results to skip before starting to collect the result set (default 0).
• Backlink Status — Filter referring domains by backlink status: all, live, or lost (default: live).
• Include Subdomains (required) — Whether to include backlinks from subdomains in the results (default: true).
• Include Indirect Links (required) — Whether to include indirect links (links via redirects or other means) in the results (default: true).
• Exclude Internal Links (required) — Whether to exclude links that originate from the same target domain/subdomain (default: true).
• Filters — JSON string representing an array of filtering parameters to apply on the referring domains data. See DataForSEO documentation for supported filters.
• Internal List Limit (up to 1000) — Maximum number of internal backlinks per referring domain to list (default: 10).
• Sort — Up to three custom sorting rules. Each rule specifies a field name and direction ('asc' or 'desc'). Refer to DataForSEO docs for supported fields.
• Backlinks Filters — JSON string representing filtering parameters applied specifically to backlinks from each referring domain. See DataForSEO documentation for supported filters.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing detailed information about referring domains pointing to the specified target, including backlink counts and associated backlinks data.

The response includes paginated results respecting the limit and offset parameters. Filters and sorting rules allow refined queries. The node interacts with DataForSEO's live referring domains backlink API endpoint.

Set 'Target' to 'example.com', leave 'Exclude Internal Links' enabled, set 'Limit' to 100, and optionally apply filters or sorting.
