Summary

Get search volume, cost-per-click (CPC), competition index, and related metrics for up to 1000 specified keywords from Google Ads data via DataForSEO API.

Inputs

• Keywords (required) — Up to 1000 keywords, each up to 80 characters and 10 words, automatically converted to lowercase.
• Location — Full location name to localize the search volume data (e.g., London,England,United Kingdom).
• Language — Full language name to localize the search volume data (e.g., English).
• Include Google Search Partners? — Whether to include data from Google search partner sites; default is false (only Google sites).
• Include Keywords Associated with Adult Content? — Whether to include adult content-related keywords; default is false.
• Date From — Start date of time range for the data; minimum 4 years in the past; defaults to past 12 months if unset.
• Date To — End date of time range for the data; cannot be later than the previous month; defaults to yesterday if unset.
• Sort By — Field to sort results by, such as Competition Index, CPC top page bids, Relevance, or Search Volume.

Output shape

a JSON object containing search volume and bid data for the requested keywords as returned by DataForSEO's /keywords_data/google_ads/search_volume/live API endpoint

Returns data in a structured JSON format with metrics per keyword. The number of keywords is limited to 1000. Date filtering applies to the time range of interest. Optional parameters control filtering and sorting. Errors are handled per item if multiple keywords are processed in batch.

Example 1: User wants to get monthly search volume for a list of keywords in London, UK localized to English, sorting results by search volume.

Provide a list of up to 1000 keywords, set Location to 'London,England,United Kingdom', set Language to 'English', and optionally leave other parameters defaulted or specify dates.
