Summary

Search ArXiv for papers matching a query and return up to the requested maximum. Results include each paper’s title, ArXiv URL, a summary snippet, and available author and publication date metadata.

Inputs

• Search Query (required) — Terms to search across ArXiv paper fields.
• Max Results — Maximum number of papers to return; defaults to 10. The UI describes a range of 1–100.
• Return as Single Item — When enabled, return one item containing a results array and totalResults; otherwise, return one item per paper. Defaults to false.

Output shape

A list of result items, or a single item containing a results array.

Each paper result has title, url, snippet (up to 400 characters), and source (arxiv), with arxivAuthor and arxivPublished when available. The source does not enforce the documented 1–100 range.
