Reddit Search

Summary

Search Reddit for the required query, sort the matches, and optionally restrict them to a time range. Return up to the configured maximum, excluding adult posts.

Inputs

  • Search Query (required) — Terms to search across Reddit.
  • Max Results — Maximum results to return; defaults to 10. The UI describes a range of 1–100.
  • Sort By — Sort results by relevance, hot, top, new, or comments; defaults to relevance.
  • Time Filter — Limit results to all time, the past hour, day, week, month, or year; defaults to all time.
  • Return as Single Item — When enabled, wrap the results in one item with operation, totalResults, and a results array; defaults to false.

Output shape

A list of items, one per Reddit post by default. Each item includes title, Reddit URL, snippet, source, score, author, subreddit, comment count, and creation time when available.

Post self text is stripped of HTML and truncated to 500 characters for the snippet, falling back to the title when empty. Adult posts are skipped, so fewer than the requested maximum may be returned. Single item mode returns an object containing operation, totalResults, and results.
