Summary

Retrieve the count of records in a specified FileMaker database table, optionally filtered by an OData $filter expression.

Inputs

• Table Name (required) — Select the target table from which to count records.
• Filter — An optional OData $filter expression to count only records matching specific criteria.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing the count as an integer under the 'count' property.

The operation returns one output item per input with a JSON object like {"count": number}. If filtering is applied, the count reflects the number of records matching the filter. Errors per item are returned if 'Continue On Fail' is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Count all records in the 'Contacts' table

Set 'Table Name' to 'Contacts' and leave 'Filter' empty.

Example 2: Count records in the 'Orders' table where status is 'Pending'

Set 'Table Name' to 'Orders' and provide a filter expression like "status eq 'Pending'" in the 'Filter' parameter.
