Summary

Update a specific record in a FileMaker table by its primary key using a JSON object to specify the new data.

Inputs

• Table Name (required) — Select the target table to update the record in, loaded dynamically from the FileMaker database.
• Record Key (required) — Provide the primary key value (UUID or ROWID) of the record to update.
• Record Data (required) — Provide the updated record data as a JSON object.

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the updated record or an error object if the update fails

Execution output contains the updated record data returned from the FileMaker OData API. If the update request fails, output includes an error message. Supports processing multiple input items individually with error handling per item.

Examples

Example 1: Update a record in the 'Contacts' table with a specific UUID key by providing the new field values as JSON.

Set Resource to 'Record', Operation to 'Update', select 'Contacts' as Table Name, enter the UUID of the record for 'Record Key', and insert the JSON body with updated field values in 'Record Data'.
