Summary

Create a Google Calendar event in the selected calendar, with required start and end times and optional event details, recurrence, attendees, conference link, and reminders. The node exchanges the supplied OAuth client ID, client secret, and refresh token for an access token when it makes the API request.

Inputs

  • Client ID, Client Secret, Refresh Token (required) — Google OAuth values used to obtain the access token. The required Access Token field is declared in the UI but is not read by this operation.
  • Calendar (required) — Select a calendar or enter its ID.
  • Start, End (required) — Event start and end date-times. For all-day events, the node uses their dates instead of date-times.
  • Use Default Reminders — Defaults to true. If false, configure optional email or popup reminders and minutes before the event.
  • Additional Fields — Optional event properties include all-day status, attendees, color, conference solution, description, guest permissions, event ID, location, title, visibility, and busy/available status. You can also set recurrence with an RRULE or frequency and either a repeat count or end date; the node rejects setting both count and end date. Send Updates controls guest notifications. Max Attendees is also passed as a request parameter.

Output shape

One n8n item per input item, containing the Google Calendar API create-event response.

The node creates events with the Google Calendar API. It uses the n8n workflow time zone for start and end conversion and sets that zone on timed events. When continue-on-fail is enabled, errors are returned as items with an error field.
