Summary

Retrieve events from a selected Google Calendar, using a date range and optional filters. Choose whether to return all matching events or cap the result count; recurring-event handling and date-field availability depend on the n8n node version.

Inputs

  • Client ID, Client Secret, Refresh Token, Access Token (required) — OAuth fields shown by the node. At runtime, requests obtain an access token using the Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token; the Access Token field is not read by the request code.
  • Calendar (required) — Select a calendar or enter its ID.
  • Return All — When enabled, fetches all pages of matching events. Otherwise, returns up to Limit events (default 50; UI range 1–500).
  • After, Before — Filter for events overlapping the specified time range. On node version 1.3 and later these are top-level fields, defaulting to now and one week from now; older versions expose them under Options and they are passed only when set.
  • Options — Optional filters and response controls: free-text Query, iCalUID, Updated Min, Show Deleted, Show Hidden Invitations, Max Attendees, Fields, Order By, and Timezone. On version 1.3 and later, Recurring Event Handling selects all occurrences (default), the first occurrence, or the next occurrence; older versions expose Expand Events. Timezone controls request time values and response timezone.

Output shape

A list of n8n items, each containing an event object returned by Google Calendar.

With Return All off, the node reads the events from the API response's items field; with it on, it collects items across pages. On older node versions, recurring events may include a computed nextOccurrence field. When continuing on failure is enabled, an item can instead contain an error message.
