AI-generated

Summary

Fetches a finished Veo video generation operation from Vertex AI and decodes the base64 result into binary data on the output item.

Inputs

  • Operation Name (required) — Full operation name returned by "Generate Video" (projects/.../models//operations/...). The model ID is parsed from it. An invalid format throws an error.
  • Put Output In Field (required) — Name of the binary field that will hold the video. Defaults to "data". Extra videos get a numeric suffix (data1, data2, ...).

Output shape

One item per input item. The video is in the binary property named by the output field, with a filename like data.mp4 and a MIME type that defaults to video/mp4. The json is empty.

The operation throws if it isn't done yet (poll "Get Video Status" first) and throws an API error if the operation reports an error. If the operation finished with no video, for example because it was filtered, the output json contains a message and the raw response, with no binary data. Only videos returned as inline base64 are extracted. With Continue On Fail, errors are returned as json.error.

Examples

Example 1: Generate a video, wait, then save it as a file.

Run Generate Video, then poll Get Video Status until done is true. Then run Download Video with Operation Name set to {{$json.operationName}} and Put Output In Field set to data. Pass the binary to a Write File or upload node.
