Summary

Check whether a Veo video generation operation started by "Generate Video" has finished, returning its done flag, any error, and the number of videos produced.

Inputs

  • operationName (required) — The operation name returned by "Generate Video" (format projects/.../publishers/google/models//operations/). The model is parsed from this string; if it can't be parsed, the node throws an "Invalid operation name" error.

Output shape

One item per input item with json: operationName, done (boolean), and conditionally error or videoCount.

error is included only if the API operation reports one. videoCount (number of videos with inline base64 data) is included only when done is true and there is no error. This operation does not download the video; use "Download Video" for that. It calls fetchPredictOperation on Vertex AI using the node's service-account credentials. With Continue On Fail, failures return json.error instead of throwing.

Examples

Example 1: Poll a video job until it completes before downloading.

Set Operation Name to {{ $json.operationName }} from the Generate Video node. Loop with a Wait node and an IF node on {{ $json.done }}, then pass to Download Video.
