Summary

Create a new user in the Harvest system with specified mandatory and optional attributes.

Inputs

• First Name (required) — The first name of the user.
• Last Name (required) — The last name of the user.
• Email (required) — The email address of the user.
• Additional Fields — Optional fields to specify additional user details such as telephone, timezone, access to future projects, contractor status, active status, default hourly rate, cost rate, roles, and access roles.

Output shape

a single user object representing the created user with all provided details and system-generated information such as user ID.

If the API call is successful, the operation returns the created user object as JSON. Errors will throw exceptions. The creation requires mandatory fields first name, last name, and email; all other fields in Additional Fields are optional.
