Summary

Send a media file from n8n binary data to a specified WhatsApp phone number with an optional accompanying text message using the HonoWA API.

Inputs

• Phone Number (required) — Recipient phone number in international format without the + prefix (e.g., 628123456789).
• Message — Optional text message to send along with the media.
• Binary Property (required) — Name of the binary data property containing the media file to send.

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the API response of the sent message

The operation sends multipart form data containing the media binary and optional message, returning the response from the HonoWA API endpoint. Errors are thrown for unknown operations or missing binary data.

Examples

Example 1: Send an image file from workflow binary data named 'data' to a WhatsApp number with a greeting message.

Set 'Phone Number' to the recipient's international phone number without +, 'Message' to desired text, and 'Binary Property' to 'data'.
