Summary

Create a draft email in a specified mailbox on the IMAP server using either field-based inputs or a full RFC822 formatted email message.

Inputs

• Credential Type (required) — Select whether to use credentials defined in this node or reuse credentials from an existing n8n IMAP Trigger node.
• Mailbox (required) — Select or specify the target mailbox where the draft email will be created.
• Input Format (required) — Choose between composing email content via separate fields (Subject, From, To, Text) or providing the entire RFC822 formatted email source.
• Subject — The subject line of the draft email. Shown only when using fields input format.
• From — The sender's email address. Shown only when using fields input format.
• To — The recipient's email address. Shown only when using fields input format.
• Text — The plain text body of the email. Shown only when using fields input format.
• RFC822 Formatted Email (required) — The complete raw email content in RFC822 format to be used as the draft message. Shown only when using the RFC822 input format.

Output shape

a single record indicating the success or failure of the draft creation operation

No pagination or list output; the node returns the outcome of the create draft action. Errors in connection or execution are raised as node errors. Drafts are created directly in the specified mailbox on the IMAP server.
