Summary

Creates Instagram media containers for each carousel item, waits for each item and the carousel to finish processing, then publishes the carousel when Auto Publish is enabled. Returns the container IDs, processing statuses, publish result, and permalink.

Inputs

• Input Source — Choose Fields to set parameters in the node, or From JSON Property to read one or more job objects from the input item.
• JSON Property Path — When using From JSON Property, dot path to the job object or array; defaults to the whole input item JSON.
• IG User ID (required) — Instagram user ID for creating and publishing the carousel.
• Items (required) — Carousel items with an image or video type and a required URL. Provide 2–10 items.
• Caption — Caption for the carousel.
• Auto Publish (IG) — Defaults to true. When enabled, publishes the processed carousel; when disabled, returns it without publishing.
• Polling Interval (Sec) — How often to check media processing status; defaults to 5 seconds.
• Max Wait (Sec) — Maximum time to poll for each child and the carousel; defaults to 300 seconds.

Output shape

A single result object per job, emitted as an n8n item.

Includes id, platform, type, creationId, children, childStatuses, status, published, publishResult, and permalink. If a child does not reach FINISHED, the operation errors; polling can also end at the configured maximum wait. With continue-on-fail enabled, errors are returned in an error object.
