Summary

Create an Instagram image media container from a public image URL, poll until processing finishes or errors, and publish it when Auto Publish is enabled and processing finished. The node returns the container status and ID, publish result, and permalink when available.

Inputs

• Input Source — Choose Fields (default) or read a job from the input item’s JSON.
• JSON Property Path — In JSON mode, dot path to the job object or an array of jobs; defaults to the whole input JSON. Each job needs resource instagram, operation publishImage, and the operation’s parameters.
• IG User ID (required) — Instagram account ID to create and publish the image for.
• Image URL (required) — URL of the image. The UI lists aspect ratios 1:1, 4:5, and 1.91:1 and recommends at least 1080 px on the shorter side.
• Caption — Optional image caption.
• User Tags — Optional list of Instagram usernames and their X/Y image positions, each coordinate from 0 to 1.
• Auto Publish (IG) — Defaults to true. When enabled, publishes the processed image if its status is FINISHED; otherwise only creates the media container.
• Polling Interval (Sec) — Seconds between processing status checks; defaults to 5 (UI range 1–60).
• Max Wait (Sec) — Maximum polling duration in seconds; defaults to 300 (UI range 30–3600).

Output shape

A single result item for each job, containing an object with id, platform, type, creationId, status, published, publishResult, and permalink.

platform is instagram, type is image, and id is instagram-image. status is the final polled status code; published indicates whether a publish result was returned. publishResult and permalink are null when not published or unavailable. Polling can return after the maximum wait even if processing is still underway. In JSON mode, an array at the selected path produces one result per job; with Continue On Fail, errors are returned as error items.
