Publish a carousel post on Threads consisting of 2 to 20 media items (images or videos) with optional alt text and text content.

Inputs

• Threads User ID (required) — The user ID of the Threads account to publish the carousel from.
• Items (required) — A collection of 2 to 20 items to include in the carousel, each item specifying a type ('image' or 'video'), a URL to the media, and optional alt text.
• Text (Optional) — Optional text content to accompany the carousel post.
• Topic Tag — Optional topic tag string (up to 50 characters) to categorize the post.
• Polling Interval (Sec) — Interval in seconds to poll the processing status of each media item and the carousel parent post (default 5 seconds, min 1, max 60).
• Max Wait (Sec) — Maximum time in seconds to wait while polling for processing status before timing out (default 300 seconds, min 30, max 3600).

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the published carousel post with fields including creation ID, child item IDs, child statuses, overall status, publication confirmation, publish result, and permalink URL.

The operation creates each carousel item individually and polls their processing status. It throws an error if any item fails to become ready. Finally, it creates a parent carousel container with the child items, polls its status until ready or failure, then publishes the carousel post. It includes retry logic on status checks and attempts to retrieve the permalink URL for the published post.

Example 1: Input with 3 media items (mix of images and videos) and optional text

User provides Threads User ID, an array of media items (each with type, url, alt text optional), optional text, and optional topic tag. The node polls status every 5 seconds up to 5 minutes before completing.
