Summary

Create a customer-facing option for a Salla product, such as a size or color selector. Set the product ID, option name, and input type; optionally configure whether it is required, its visibility, display order, and selectable values.

Inputs

• Product (required) — Product ID to attach the option to.
• Option Name (required) — Title shown to customers, such as “Size” or “Color”.
• Option Type (required) — Customer input type: radio, textarea, number, checkbox, image, date, time, date-time, map, file, color picker, or splitter.
• Required — Whether customers must provide a value before adding the product to their cart.
• Additional Fields — Optional display type (text, image, or color), visibility (always or based on another option/value), sort order, and flags for advanced variants, order time, or same-day dates. Add option values with a name, optional display value and default flag. The UI also shows a price field, but the implementation omits prices from values sent by this create operation.
• Values (JSON, advanced) — Alternative raw JSON array for option values; used when the Values builder has no entries. Prices are removed from these values before sending.
• Return Mode — Choose Data Only (default) or Full Envelope for the response.

Output shape

One or more items containing the Salla response data, or a single full response envelope.

Data Only returns an object as one item, an array as one item per entry, or a scalar under a data field. Full Envelope returns ok, status, data, error, and raw. The input fields select the product and define the option; the operation sends a create request to Salla.

Examples

Example 1: Add a required size selector with Small and Large values

Set the product ID, name the option Size, choose Radio, enable Required, and add Small and Large in Values.
