Summary

Read metadata from each input PDF and add it to the item’s JSON data. Provide the PDF in the configured binary field; for encrypted files, enable password protection and enter the password.

Inputs

• Input Binary Field (required) — Name of the binary field containing the PDF; defaults to data.
• Password Protected? — Enable if the PDF is password protected; defaults to false.
• Password — Password used to unlock the PDF when password protection is enabled.

Output shape

One output item per input item, with metadata added to its JSON and the original binary data preserved.

Adds title, author, subject, creator, producer, keywords, pageCount, creationDate, and modificationDate alongside the input JSON. Metadata values may be empty or absent when not set in the PDF. PDF loading errors are thrown unless Continue On Fail is enabled; then an error message is returned in JSON.
