Summary

Update cells on a specified Smartsheet row, with optional row placement, discussion comments, and attachments. Provide the sheet, row ID, and one or more cells to set; enable special options for any additional actions.

Inputs

• Sheet Name or ID (required) — Select the sheet or enter its ID.
• Row ID (required) — ID of the row to update.
• Cells — Cells to set, each identified by a selected column or a manually entered column ID. Supply values in the format expected by the column type; blank values can clear cells. Hyperlinks can be added to TEXT_NUMBER and TEXT cells.
• Special Options — Optionally enable Location, Discussions, or Attachments. Location selects Top, Bottom, or a parent row. Discussions add comments to an existing or new discussion. Attachments add links or files from an incoming binary property, as regular attachments or proofs.

Output shape

A single item containing the updated row response, with mapped cell values added for convenience.

The operation may also include discussions in the response. Discussion comments and attachments are handled as separate actions after the row update; file attachments are uploaded from the specified incoming binary property.
