Teable (TuanDK)

Read and write records, tables, and spaces in Teable

Record → Create

AI-generated

Summary

Creates one new record in a selected Teable table, setting the fields you list, and returns the created record. It runs once per input item and always sends typecast=true so Teable coerces values to the field types.

Inputs

  • Space (required) — Teable space, chosen from a dropdown. It only drives the Base dropdown and is not sent in the create request.
  • Base (required) — Base within the selected space. It only drives the Table dropdown and is not sent in the create request.
  • Table (required) — Table the record is created in. The ID may contain only letters, digits, underscores or hyphens.
  • Fields — Repeatable Field/Value pairs. Field is picked from the table's field names (or typed via an expression). Each value is JSON-parsed, so arrays, objects, booleans and null are sent as real types. Numeric values stay as strings, and Teable coerces them. Values that aren't valid JSON are sent as plain strings. The names proto, constructor and prototype are rejected. With no pairs, an empty record is created.
  • Additional Options > Field Key Type — Whether field keys are field names (default 'name') or field IDs ('id'). It applies to the request and the response.

Output shape

One output item per created record. The JSON is the record object returned by Teable, normally with its id and fields.

If the response has no records array, the raw response is returned as the item. Rate-limit (429) and 5xx errors are retried up to 3 times, with no delay between attempts. With Continue On Fail enabled, a failed item yields {error: message} instead of stopping the run.

Examples

Example 1: Add a new lead to a CRM table from a webhook payload

Choose Space, Base and Table. Add Fields: Name = {{$json.name}}, Email = {{$json.email}}, Tags = ["new","web"].

Example 2: Create a record using field IDs so renamed columns don't break the workflow

Set Additional Options > Field Key Type = Field ID. Set each Field via expression to fldXXXX and give it a Value.

Example 3: Insert a task with a checkbox set

Fields: Title = Review PR, Done = false. The value 'false' is parsed to a boolean.
