Summary

Send a message to a selected Zoho Cliq channel as a specified bot participant.

Inputs

• Channel (required) — Select an existing channel or provide a custom channel ID where the message will be posted.
• Bot Unique Name (required) — Specify the unique name of the bot sending the message; the bot must already be a participant in the channel.
• Text (required) — The text content of the message to send.
• Card Theme — Optional theme for the message card; if none is selected, a plain text message is sent.
• Card Title — Optional title for the message card when a themed card is used.
• Card Thumbnail URL — Optional thumbnail image URL to display on the message card.
• Card Icon URL — Optional icon image URL to display on the message card.
• Bot Name — Optional display name to override the bot's default name in the message.
• Bot Icon URL — Optional icon URL to override the bot's default icon in the message.
• Sync Message — Set to true to receive the message ID in the response for synchronization purposes.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing the API response for the sent message

If 'Sync Message' is enabled, the response will include the message ID; otherwise, it includes the standard message send confirmation data.

Examples

Example 1: Send a plain text message as a bot to a specific channel by selecting from channels list and providing the bot unique name.

Channel (required), Bot Unique Name (required), Text (required), Sync Message (optional).

Example 2: Send a customized card message as a bot with theme and images to a channel using a custom channel ID.

Custom Channel ID (required), Bot Unique Name (required), Text (required), Card Theme (optional, e.g., basic or poll), Card Title, Card Icon URL, Card Thumbnail URL, Bot Name, Bot Icon URL, Sync Message (optional).
