Summary

Shows a transient typing indicator on a TikTok DM conversation via the dibales.ai public API (POST /tiktok/conversations/typing). Use it just before a slow Send Text or Send Image step so the bot feels responsive.

Inputs

  • conversationId (required) — TikTok conversation ID. The default expression pulls it from the upstream DM or postback event (raw.conversation_id, raw.conversation.id, or the same keys under data). If the field is blank, the node tries the same auto-detection from the item JSON. If neither gives an ID, it throws an error for that item.

Output shape

One output item per input item. Each item holds the API response fields spread into the JSON, plus a _typing object of the form { conversation_id }. Items are paired to their input items.

If the API returns an empty body, the output contains only _typing. API errors with status 400 or above throw a NodeApiError carrying the backend's error message, code and request_id. A missing conversation ID also throws. The node uses the dibalesAiApi credential.

Example 1: Show typing while an AI step generates a reply to an incoming TikTok DM.
