AI-generatedSummary
Uploads a document file from an incoming binary property to Presentations.AI and generates a slide deck from it, exported in the chosen format. Sends a multipart POST to /api/v1/document/file for each input item.
Inputs
- Input Binary Field (required) — Name of the binary property holding the source file (default "data"). The file must be 5 MB or smaller, otherwise the operation errors before uploading. The operation description lists PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD and RTF as supported types.
- Export Format (required) — Output format: pptx (default), ppt, pdf, image, render, or share (shareable link).
- Topic — Optional title override. With Preservation Mode "Instruction", it is used as the custom transformation instruction (max 500 characters).
- Slide Count — Number of slides, 1–50 (default 10). Ignored in Preserve mode, where the count comes from the content.
- Preservation Mode — How to treat the file content: enhance (default), preserve, summarize, or instruction.
- Target Audience — Audience that shapes tone and depth (default general-audience).
- Tone — Voice of the slide content (default professional).
- Language — ISO language code for the generated content (default en).
- Domain — Company domain, used for brand context and styling cues.
- Callback URL — HTTPS webhook. The API returns a job_id immediately and POSTs the result to this URL when done. Non-https URLs are rejected.
- Return Job ID Immediately — Declared as a field that returns a job_id and pollUrl without waiting. The custom upload code does not read this parameter and does not send it, so it may have no effect for this operation.
Output shape
One output item per input item, containing the JSON response from the Presentations.AI API (the generated presentation result, or job info if async).
Plain-text responses are parsed as JSON where possible. Otherwise they are wrapped as {raw: ...} or {value: ...}. With a Callback URL, expect a job_id for later delivery. Use Job → Check Status to poll. With Continue On Fail enabled, failed items return {error: message}. Otherwise the node throws.
