Summary

Updates an existing Reply.io contact's details via the PATCH /v3/contacts/:id endpoint.

Inputs

• contactLocator (required) — Identify the contact to update using ID, Email, or LinkedIn URL.
• firstName — New first name for the contact.
• lastName — New last name for the contact.
• updateEmail — New email address for the contact. Must be valid.
• updateLinkedInProfile — New LinkedIn profile URL for the contact.
• phone — New phone number for the contact.
• company — New company name for the contact.
• additionalFields — Additional contact fields (City, Country, State, Time Zone, Title).

Output shape

A single item containing the updated contact record from the API.

At least one field (firstName, lastName, phone, company, updateLinkedInProfile, or updateEmail) must be provided; otherwise, the operation fails with an error. The contact is identified by the 'contactLocator' parameter.

Examples

Example 1: Update a contact's email and phone number using their ID

Contact Locator: ID (12345); Fields: updateEmail (new@example.com), phone (555-0199)

Example 2: Update a contact's name and company using their email address

Contact Locator: Email (old@email.com); Fields: firstName (Jane), lastName (Doe), company (New Corp)
