Summary

Create a new conversation for a specified contact in a ChatWoot inbox.

Inputs

• Contact Identifier Name or ID (required) — Select the contact by name or ID for whom to create the conversation. Options are loaded dynamically based on the inbox.
• Additional Options — Optional fields to include with the conversation, such as custom attributes defined for the conversation.

Output shape

a single record representing the created conversation

The operation creates the conversation via a POST request to the ChatWoot API and returns the created conversation object. Custom attributes can be specified using a resource mapper field that dynamically loads existing custom attributes for conversations.

Examples

Example 1: Create a conversation for a contact with specified custom attributes

Set the Contact Identifier parameter to choose the contact; optionally add custom attributes under Additional Options to include with the conversation creation request.
