Summary

Builds a chat menu from configured options, sends it to the conversation, and waits for the user to choose an option. Routes a valid text reply to that option’s output; retries after invalid input when an error message is configured.

Inputs

• Prompt Menu — Prompt shown after the menu options; defaults to “Select an option”.
• Entry Message — Optional message shown before the options.
• Menu Options (required) — Add options with a key the user enters, display text, and optional output name. Each option creates an output branch.
• Use Native Menu — When enabled, also sends a native menu payload with the prompt, options, and optional entry message. Defaults to false.
• Invalid Option Message — Message sent for an unmatched text reply; defaults to “Choose a valid option.” An empty value sends an error to the onNone output instead of retrying.
• Invalid Message Type Message — Message sent when the received reply is not text; defaults to “Enter a text message with a valid option.” The operation then waits for another reply.

Output shape

One main output per menu option, followed by an onNone output.

A valid text reply matching an option key routes the standard conversation data to that option’s output; other option outputs are empty. Invalid replies retry when the corresponding message is nonempty. If Invalid Option Message is empty, onNone receives {"ok":false,"response":"Invalid option"}. The operation adds the entry text and options as a text message, optionally adds a native menu message, and flushes pending messages before waiting for a reply.

Examples

Example 1: Use the text menu

Set the prompt and entry message, then add options with keys, display text, and output names. Leave Use Native Menu disabled.

Example 2: Use the platform’s native menu

Enable Use Native Menu and configure the same options. The operation sends the menu payload along with the text menu message.
