Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific management rule identified either by its unique ID or alias, or by its unique path, optionally specifying a particular version of the rule.

Inputs

• Identify By (required) — Choose whether to identify the rule by its ID or alias, or by its path.
• Rule ID or Alias (required) — Provide the unique ID or alias of the rule to retrieve when identifying by ID or alias.
• Path to the Rule (required) — Provide the unique path to the rule to retrieve when identifying by path.
• Rule Version — Specify the version of the rule to retrieve. If left empty, the latest version is returned.

Output shape

A single JSON object representing the requested management rule's details.

The output will contain the rule information as returned by the DecisionRules API. If a specific version is not specified, the latest version is returned. If the rule is identified by path, the path query parameter is used in the request.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve a rule by ID using the latest version.

Set Identify By to 'ID or Alias' and supply the Rule ID or Alias. Leave Rule Version empty.

Example 2: Retrieve a specific version of a rule by path.

Set Identify By to 'Path', provide the full Path to the Rule, and specify the Rule Version to retrieve.
