Generation → Create Multi-Page

Summary

Create a Gamma file with 1–50 ordered pages in one generation request, optionally publishing it as a Gamma site. Provide pages as JSON or define them in the node; each page requires input text, while page-specific format, text mode, title, and path are optional.

Inputs

  • Pages Input (required) — Choose JSON to supply an array of page objects, or Define Below to enter pages in order. The first page becomes the file’s main page. Provide 1–50 pages; every page must include non-empty inputText.
  • Page fields (required) — Each page needs inputText. Optional fields are format (webpage by default in Define Below), textMode (generate by default), title (generated from content if empty), and path. The path is a slug for a published site and is ignored for the first page.
  • Publish as Site — Defaults to false. When enabled, requests publication as a Gamma site once every page succeeds.
  • Additional Options — Whole-file settings include card dimensions for the selected format, email recipients and access, search engine indexing, export format, external and workspace access, folder, header/footer JSON, theme, and file title. Defaults apply where shown; leave optional values empty to use Gamma or workspace defaults. Options hidden for this operation—including image source/model, audience, language, tone, text amount, card split, and number of cards—are not available here.

Output shape

A generation API response for the created multi-page Gamma file.

The operation starts a POST request to /v1.0/generations; it does not wait for generation to finish. Use Generation → Get Status with the returned generation ID to check progress. Invalid JSON, non-array pages, empty page lists, more than 50 pages, or pages without inputText fail validation before the request.
