Generate a standalone image from a required text prompt using Gamma’s Images API. Optionally guide the result with reference images, choose a size preset, theme, and image type.
Inputs
- Prompt (required) — Text describing what the generated image should depict.
- Reference Images — Optional list of publicly reachable image URLs to guide generation. Each can be marked with the Subject role. Gamma skips a curated style and any theme when references are supplied, and reports this as a warning; every listed image must have a URL.
- Size Preset — Image aspect ratio and dimensions: Banner, Slide (default), Social Portrait, Social Square, or Story.
- Theme — Optional theme selected from the list or entered by ID. Gamma may ignore it for some image types and report a warning.
- Type — Image kind: Abstract, Illustration, Photo (default), or Scene.
Output shape
A response item from the image generation request.
The operation starts generation with a POST request; it does not wait for completion. Use Image → Get Status with the returned imageGenerationId to check progress.
