Summary

Create a contact under the selected WhatsApp account by phone number or BSUID, with optional profile details and metadata.

Inputs

• From Account Name or ID (required) — Select the WhatsApp account that will own the contact, or provide its ID.
• Phone Number — Optional E.164 phone number, such as +628123456789. Supply this or a BSUID as the contact identifier.
• BSUID — Optional Business-Scoped User ID for a WhatsApp user who adopted a username and has no known phone number. Supply this or a phone number.
• Username — Optional WhatsApp username, stored as display information; it is not a stable identity.
• Name — Optional contact name.
• Email — Optional contact email address.
• Metadata — Optional free-form JSON object for custom data such as external IDs or segments. Empty objects and invalid JSON are omitted from the request.

Output shape

A single API response item containing the created contact.

The node sends a POST request to the selected account's contacts endpoint. The API requires either a phone number or BSUID; the node's UI does not mark either field individually as required.
