Summary

Toggle the unread status of a Telegram chat by marking it as unread or read according to user input.

Inputs

• Chat ID (required) — The unique identifier of the chat to update.
• Mark as Unread? (required) — Boolean flag indicating whether to mark the chat as unread (true) or clear the unread mark (false).

Output shape

A JSON object representing the resulting chat information after toggling the unread status.

The output includes the updated chat object reflecting its marked-as-unread state. Errors related to authentication or Telegram API failures may occur. Requires prior login and valid credentials.

Examples

Example 1: Mark a chat as unread

Set Chat ID to the target chat's ID and Mark as Unread? to true. Executes the toggle operation, marking the chat as unread.

Example 2: Clear unread mark on a chat

Set Chat ID to the target chat's ID and Mark as Unread? to false. Executes the toggle operation, clearing the unread status of the chat.
