Summary

Publishes an image post to a selected Instagram Direct account, immediately or at a scheduled time. Converts the required caption from Markdown or HTML to Unicode formatting when that format is selected.

Inputs

• Instagram Direct Account (required) — Select the connected Instagram Direct account.
• Caption (required) — Text for the post. Caption Format defaults to Plain Text; Markdown and HTML formats are converted to Unicode.
• Image Source (required) — Choose URL or Binary File to provide the required image. Although None is an available option, the publish request only includes an image when a URL or binary image is supplied.
• Image URL (required) — Public image URL, shown when Image Source is URL.
• Binary Property (required) — Name of the input item's binary property containing the image; defaults to data. The node sends the image as base64 and includes its MIME type, defaulting to image/jpeg if unavailable.
• Schedule Publish Time — Optional future date and time. The HUB holds the post and publishes it around the scheduled time; it must be at least 10 minutes ahead, and the post is not visible in Instagram until then. Leave empty to publish immediately.

Output shape

One n8n item per input item, containing the HUB response in its json field on success.

Publish failures caught by the operation are returned as JSON items with error, details, and hint fields. Other errors are thrown unless Continue On Fail is enabled.
